Rotapower Update: now might be the time to dive in 25 Sep 09 As you know, Rotapower is being hailed as the greatest and greenest 4‐stroke engine ever to be built and ideal for hybrid cars. The good news is that it is now ready for manufacture. Considerable progress has been made to the point where Rotapower hopes soon to sign a JV agreement with one of two separate high volume manufacturers. Up to and beyond such agreement, there could be room for additional participation bearing in mind that the price of shares may change following a JV announcement. Rotapower is now at the stage where the remaining funding needed to complete the construction of 300Production-tooled engines for customer evaluation use is now only $3.5 million. Evaluation of these engines will enable most if not all the Letters Of Intent (LOI) orders already in place for 900,000 engines (worth around $1 billion) to convert into irrevocable purchase orders.
Converting these LOI into irrevocable orders is our holy grail. Achieving it will enable us to: • Access bank loans for concluding development of our entire model range. • Fund the fulfillment of the existing 900,000 engines worth in excess of $1 billion. • Create the marketing and business infrastructure needed to enable global market penetration. • and . . . once the story breaks that we are commencing manufacture, we expect a flood of ongoing demand from around the world as no other engine performs as well as Rotapower. Rotapower is atiny‐but‐powerful modular engine series capable of meeting worldwide demand for small, light, clean, quiet and efficient engines in all applications. Our 450cc/530cc model (derived from the OMCmodel) is ideal for the plug‐in hybrid car and recreational vehicle markets.
The Freedom Motors (Rotapower) business strategy simplifies to this:• Commence a Joint venture partnership with a large volume manufacturer.• Our banks will not provide additional funding until purchase orders become irrevocable thereforeshould a JV partner not materialize in the short term, we would wish to source separate funding of$3.5m in order to conclude the 300 evaluation engines thus unlocking up to $1 billion in firm sales.
Types of participationThis can be in the form of share acquisition; an equities‐secured loan or the purchase of distribution rights to a particular territory. All necessary paperwork can be sent to interested parties.
Your return on investmentTo be negotiated.
RiskThere is little risk in this model because it builds on the success of the original 530cc, which went into volume production and which we subsequently acquired and redeveloped. This is also our modular model ‐ engine sizes can go from 30 HP to 720 HP just by lengthening the through‐bolts and drive shaft then stacking engines laterally. Historically, the rotary engine has been the most reliable engine type ever built.
